Self Portraits

I was capturing myself grabbing a flower from the branch of the tree. It did, somewhat changed. I just wanted to focus on the tree branch. I lined up with the stripes on my shorts with the tree branch. That’s it, but it the flowers gave my partner the idea to stand up and reach for the nearest flower. There was a whole bunch of flowers on the tree, but I had to choose one. My creative picture was when I sat down and my partner took a picture where I sat down and where I underneath another tree branch. It was just random, but it really gave us the idea, just to take it for the rule of thirds. The more difficult picture my partners and I took was when I was up and between the purple fences. Because I am afraid of heights, I still done it anyways. The creativity of the self portraits that my partners and I had done came out well. The lines on my shorts were my idea, but the rest were my partners’ idea. I had some ideas, but I couldn’t have done it at school or I didn’t have the right props.
The pictures were okay, but I wanted to take pictures in the basketball court (inside). Specifically, it was used up from the P.E students. The only thing that I do to strength my picture was that I wore my striped shorts and be the person that was in the picture. The things that weakened my photos were that I basically didn’t really try. I just wanted it to end. I think the strongest was when I was between the two purple fences. It had worked out to be a very unique portrait of me, for my first striped idea. I would change all of them, because I was too lazy to work on my project. I would be more on it, if I bought or find the things I wanted. Had my partner(s) come in my house or be at some unique, cool place and take unbelievable pictures that my partners could have token theirs as well.
One of them was a little bit blurry, but it was okay. The one with me between the two fences was a little bright, but it was also okay. I didn’t use any of the camera techniques or setting, because I didn’t know how to use the camera as much. Yes the lack of my understanding did weakened, because I really didn’t really know how to use the camera as well even though we as a class have been over the techniques and the setting. The strength, I really didn’t have anything, just token some pictures and my weakness were the following.
My opinions on my portraits are, I needed to have better idea, and stick with it. Have my idea’s ready on the time we start taking pictures. Bring props I’ll be taken the picture with. Have some kind of emotion. My favorite shot was the when I was between the two fences. My least was when I just sat under the tree branch and my partner just took the picture. I wish we had more time so I could have been more creative.

Hybrid

In preparation for our PERSONAL METAPHOR project, we brushed up our skills combining objects together. Using layer masks and the clone stamp we blended this dog and bird together.

Chocolate Frog

For valentines Day we turned frogs into chocolate. I thought this project was funny and easy to do. It gave me the chance to turn something into chocolate, which is funny when your frog looks like a melted candybar.

Shadows and Reflections:

In these exercise we learned how to create shadows and reflections to help us make more realistic artwork. A new tool we learned was layer masks.

The things that I learned here can help me in the future by making sure that the light is shining on the object and making a shadow.

Aged Photo

In this project we usd one of our frame photographs to practice using Photoshop to create specific effects.

Balance with Frames

In this project we were given a frame. We had to use it in our composition. We also had to be in our photo, but not in the center. It was to be black and white, and we needed to create a sense of visual balance.

Random Objective

According to my peers, one thing I did well was being creative. I took a more free and funny theme to it.

One thing they suggested I work on was the lighting of the picture made it to blurry.

I agreed with what they said because, it was a little to blurry, but a creative picture I had token.

my favorite project from last semister

My buddy David playing his guitar. I made this picture because I thought it was pretty intersting the way he stood still and how he was playing his guitar.
